Hi, I’m Harry (BPsych).
I hold a Bachelor of Psychology and a Diploma of Counselling, and I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients. My journey into this profession stems from lived experience—both my own and that of my family and friends who have been impacted by mental health challenges. For me, these struggles have often been most intense during times of grief or trauma. What’s consistently helped me heal is time spent in nature.
Grounded Growth combines the evidence-based therapy techniques I’ve learned and practiced throughout my training with my deep belief in the restorative power of nature. Some of the most meaningful reflections in my life have happened during long walks outdoors. That’s why I offer sessions that move beyond traditional office settings—walking and talking through Sydney’s green spaces. If that’s not practical, I can meet you somewhere convenient, or we can simply walk separately and chat over the phone.
There’s something about movement and nature that helps thoughts flow more freely. My approach integrates CBT tools, talk therapy, mindfulness practices, and psychoeducation about how the mind works. I create a space that is queer-affirming, trauma-aware, and grounded in lived experience—allowing you to explore growth at your own pace.
Outside of counselling, you’ll often find me gardening, hiking, or volunteering with community projects. I believe connection and support networks are the foundations of resilience in the face of mental health challenges.
Let’s start with a free 15-minute consultation—feel free to message me to arrange a time for a phone call.
